Traditionally, risk-based inspections (RBI) have been the primary method for addressing CUI challenges. However, these approaches often come with significant material costs and safety risks, in addition to high repair expenses that could be reduced through early detection of moisture within insulation and CUI development.
New non-intrusive, permanent sensor system enables continuous monitoring beneath insulation, operating 24/7 to generate valuable data on insulation performance and static equipment such as pipes and tanks. By integrating this data with information on movement, temperature, and environmental conditions, teams can effectively track both the onset and progression of corrosion.
The system is easy to install, with sensors mounted externally on the cladding, eliminating the need to remove existing insulation. This makes it ideal for both retrofits and new installations. Our automated inspection and real-time detection of insulation moisture provide continuous oversight without interrupting operations. The sensors, mounted around the exterior, monitor the entire section in a full 360° range, offering comprehensive protection around piping and other equipment.
